About Ashley Sherburne
Ashley has been studying Anusara yoga since 2001, and began teaching yoga in 2004. She is returning to teaching after completing graduate school, where she studied curriculum with a focus on environmental education. Ashley comes to her yoga practice with a deep sense of gratitude for its ability to open the heart, mind, and body. She approaches yoga as a practice that sharpens awareness of Beauty, develops mindfulness, and allows the Light within each of us to shine fully outward. Ashley has attended two 108-hour Anusara yoga immersions and participated in a year-long mentorship with Anusara Certified Instructor Karen Sprute-Francovich. She has also taken many workshops and classes over the years, refining her own practice as well as her teaching.
Ashley has taught adult and teen classes for several studios in Idaho and Montana, as well as for the University of Montana Yoga Club, a University of Montana Health and Human Performance course, Flagship at C.S. Porter Middle School, and for Missoula GUTS. Although her passion is teaching children, she also extends her philosophy of patience, kindness, and individual empowerment into her adult yoga classes.
