About Lori Roe
Lori is an experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (eRYT500, eRYT 200) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of yoga teacher treating with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS). She began her practice of yoga for self-awareness, health, and well-being in 1978, through self-study and classes in the Baltimore/Washington area. After moving to Delaware in 1985, she attended yoga classes at the YMCA and was inspired to share the benefits with others through teaching. She completed certification through the Columbia Yoga Center, MD in 1993, and began teaching with a focus in Iyengar style.
Working with students over the years led to an understanding that a single approach is not suitable for every body, and continued in advanced studies at the Body Balance School of Yoga, Annapolis, MD, where she completed her 500 level RYT and certification as an Associate Body Balance Yoga Therapy Teacher in 2013. She is also certified in teaching VaihAyasa Aerial Yoga, Fundamental and Intermediate Levels.
Lori's teaching style is compassionate and joyful with a commitment to awakening a deeper knowledge and understanding of the body, mind, and spirit. Married with three children, she has a Master's Degree in Education and works as an instructional specialist in the Cape Henlopen School District.
