About Roxie Sweikar
Roxie Sweikar, MSW, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, is a certified Yoga Therapist working with PHA to provide yoga classes as well as both private and group yoga therapy opportunities.
Roxie earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in Social Work from East Carolina University.
She has spent over 15 years studying different styles and techniques of yoga, meditation, and ayurveda. Her affiliation with the International Association of Yoga Therapists places her alongside other yoga professionals who are working to establish yoga as a recognized and respected therapy.
Much of Roxie’s teaching is inspired by the way yoga has deepened her awareness of the interplay between body, mind, and spirit. Yoga is about connection in all ways.
Some of her most transformative experiences have come to life on her yoga mat, awakening true presence, clarity, and deeper compassion for both herself and others. It is her intention to hold the same healing space for others.
Roxie leads regular Holistic Hatha (All-Levels Yoga) and Prenatal/Postnatal yoga classes along with rotating small-group yoga and yoga therapy for special populations. She is also available for private and duo private yoga therapy sessions.
