About Othene Munson
Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher E-RYT E500 T500, Iyengar Style, Anusara-Inspired, Level 2 Usui Reiki Practitioner and Angel Therapy Practitioner® (ATP) , certified by Doreen Virtue & Celebrant, brings a unique perspective and style of teaching to the practice of yoga, drawing upon her background as a corporate trainer, human resources professional, fashion model and global yoga instructor. Othene was one of the first fashion models who began practicing and promoting Yoga in the 1980s. Today many super models have taken up the practice to maintain their beauty, youthfulness, health, fitness and give their hectic lives balance, serenity and inner peace.
Othene was a pioneer from the field of fashion, dedicating her life to helping others find inner beauty and improve their outer appearance through their individual yoga and spiritual practice.
She has studied with renown teachers such as Kathleen Pringle, Patricia Walden, David Swenson, Rodney Yee, and Steve Jacobson for two decades, refining her own practice and teaching methods. She completed the Ashtanga Teacher Training workshop with David Swenson with further Ashtanga training from Manju Jois. She has spent time studying at the Sivananda Ashrams in Paris, California, London and the Bahamas.
